TC Essential Oils
Our very fine Jasmine Absolute from India is the epitome of floral essences; its traditional name - the King of Flowers - denotes its stature for its well-loved scent and powerful reputation as an aphrodisiac. Jasmine grandiflorum absolute is very intense with extremely sweet floral notes. This beautiful oil also expresses a fresh, crisp, slightly fruity aroma with well-rounded femininity. Jasmine grandiflorum absolute is extracted from un-bruised flower blossoms that are collected during the night when flowering occurs. The beautiful blossoms are far too delicate to process with steam distillation whereby the complete aroma of the flower is lost. To put this more into perspective, the same applies to grandiflorum as to its cousin sambac with approximately 8,000 carefully hand-picked blossoms being required to produce 1 gram (about 1 mL) of Jasmine grandiflorum absolute. Jasmine grandiflorum is prized for its reputed powerful anti-depressant characteristics, for severe depression and soothing the nerves, producing a feeling of confidence, optimism and euphoria, while revitalizing and restoring energy.

Botanical Name: Jasminum grandiflorum
Plant Part: Flowers
Extraction Method: Solvent Extraction
Blends well with: Jasmine Absolute generally works with all oils. It helps to round out scents, and tends to work particularly well with other aphrodisiac oils
(Sandalwood and Ylang-ylang are two great examples). Carrier oils like Jojoba or Almond oil is also a great chioce.
Cautions: It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - becomes lost.
General: As with all essential oils, never use them undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children. If applying an essential oil to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the oil in an appropriate carrier)
